The Embassy of the Netherlands in the Philippines and the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce celebrate IDAHOT 2018 (International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia) on MAY 16, 2018 530pm to 830pm at the Dutch Ambassador’s Residence in Makati City with three programmes to be launched on the May 16 event:
The launch of the PHILIPPINE CORPORATE SOGIE DIVERSITY INDEX (CSDI)
In the Philippines, there has never been a more comprehensive survey of Filipino Companies’ policies for gender diversity. Ths CSDI will be the first of its kind to survey the business sphere in the country, comparing gender diversity policies of Filipino owned corporations, benchmarking them with the global business scene. The result of this four month study will be released via a report on September/October this year. The CSDI is funded by the Netherlands Embassy in the Philippines and is also presented by the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Research firm Cogencia Philippines will be doing the survey. Congencia provides strategic insights to organizations in the region. This programme is lead by the Chamber Vice Chair for Industry, Evan Tan.
CEO Batch #1 of the SOGIE EXECUTIVE SESSION (SES).
The SOGIE Executive Session (SES) programme is a compressed 30-minute high-level talk designed for 50 c-level leaders (CEO, COO, etc), Presidents, and Heads, to help them bring their organization to a future that is more diverse. SES was strategically developed by the LGBT Chamber with the POV and insight of high level management leaders, a first of its kind in the Philippines. The goal of SES is to help leaders understand SOGIE so that they can pilot and lead this development for their own organizations. SES is the Strategic Executive Summary version of SOGIE trainings happening all over the country. Invited and confirmed to be at this event are the c-level leaders from some of the biggest brands and corporations in the country, and ambassadors from various embassies in the Philippines. Batch #1 of SES is presented by the Netherlands Embassy in the Philippines. This programme is lead by the Chamber Vice Chair for Education and Research, Simoun Ferrer.
The launch of the for-public programme #KERI PINS.
“Keri” is a Philippine phenomenon – usually said by Filipinos when asked if they are ok with an idea, or when if they can be accepting of others [“Keri kita”]. The LGBT Chamber and the Dutch Embassy are giving away 250 “KERI PINS” (see image above) to Ambassadors, CEOs and business leaders, and to media and pubic personalities. They are invited to wear these pins on May 16 and May 17 when on TV and also on their social media channels, with the hashtag #KERI alongside their message of support to the community, and as their participation in the globally trending International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, happening worldwide on May 17, 2018.
